Electronic Assembly Technician & QC Technician
Coda Octopus Martech Limited, based at Osprey Quay Portland, near Weymouth, Dorset, has a requirement for a skilled electronic assembly technician with experience of manual/hand placement SMT PCB assembly, to assemble low volume PCBs for prototyping and reworking boards as part of the development process. ideally you will also have experience in general electronic assembly and wiring etc.
Working on a diverse range of projects for high profile customers in the Defence and Aerospace and Sub-Sea industries, our technicians need to be flexible, adaptable, and motivated. Successful applicants will have several years’ experience in an electronic or electro-mechanical manufacturing or service/repair environment. Formal training and qualifications are an advantage but not essential if you have appropriate experience.
Candidates should have some of the following skills and expertise. We recognise that not everyone will have all of these capabilities, so please still apply if you are skilled in only some areas. Training can be provided where necessary:
• Manual SMT PCB assembly
• Looming, wiring & crimping
• Soldering and PCB assembly
• Electro-mechanical assembly (box build)
• System testing
• In process / final QC inspection of electronic assemblies
As well as a demonstrable practical aptitude, enthusiasm, flexibility and an ability to adapt and learn on the job are of equal importance. For this role we offer a competitive salary dependent on skills and experience and would be pleased to hear from all candidates that meet the above criteria.
